If assembling a zipper from a continuous chain, insert the slider head by cutting a small V into the zipper teeth, feeding both sides in, and pulling the slider up.

Turn the fabric over to the right side. Start at the bottom, stitching up one side of the zipper, turning at the top, and coming back down on the other side.

Switch to a basting stitch (long, temporary stitch) to close the remaining opening, and press the entire seam allowance open. Installation: Setting the Zipper
