Ssss is not a nostalgic trip back to the 1980s. It is a modern, dark, and hypnotic minimal techno record designed for dark warehouses and strobe lights.

Ssss was a fascinating exercise in pure electronic experimentation. For Martin Gore, it was a chance to step away from the massive pressure of writing stadium-sized anthems for Depeche Mode. For Vince Clarke, it was an opportunity to shed the ultra-polished pop skin of Erasure and get back to gritty, raw synthesis. VCMG -Ssss (2012)
