Q
Dad was in the hospital, very sick. Mom was still alive and was medical power of attorney, then my sister, then myself. My other sister was at the hospital and called the house one morning. I wasn't home; she asked my spouse who had medical power of attorney. My spouse didn't know. My spouse told me about this when I got home, and that my sister had already made the decision to stop any treatment. Does the hospital ask who has medical power of attorney? Don’t you need to sign a form to stop treatment?
A

I don’t know about any forms – that would have to do with the hospital’s internal procedures. However, the hospital must honor the medical power of attorney. If the sister who was at the hospital was not named in the document, the hospital should never have followed her instructions.

Developed over several years, Lost Alpha restores "lost" maps, features, and story beats that were cut from the retail version of Shadow of Chernobyl . It isn't just a map pack; it features an overhauled engine (X-Ray 1.6), upgraded visuals, and a redesigned storyline that weaves original GSC Game World concepts with new lore. Where to Download

is a massive, standalone total conversion mod that aims to recreate the "old" vision of S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl as it appeared in early development builds from 2002–2004. Since its release by dezowave, it has evolved into one of the most comprehensive ways to experience the Zone. Project Overview

Ensure your DirectX End-User Runtimes and Visual C++ Redistributables are up to date to prevent crashes on startup.

While the game looks great, the "Extended" grass and shadow settings are notoriously demanding. If you experience lag, try lowering these settings first.

Do not install the mod into your Steam or GOG S.T.A.L.K.E.R. folder. Create a new directory (e.g., C:\Games\LostAlpha ) to avoid file conflicts.

Explore iconic areas like the Dark Hollow, Dead City, and Great Swamps in their original, expanded layouts.

Lost Alpha is officially distributed as a , meaning you do not need to own the original S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games to play it.
