Take the two long, black-ended poles and slide them through the black-coded sleeves on top of the tent so they form an "X".

The bracer poles are expensive and crucial to the structure—avoid dropping them on hard surfaces, as they are specifically pre-bent.
Lay the ground cloth down first, then spread the tent body flat on top of it. Hammer in stakes at the four main corners
