Diantha initiates to transform Gardevoir, and Leon responds by Gigantamaxing Charizard. Gardevoir manages to land a super-effective Thunderbolt, but Charizard endures the hit and retaliates with G-Max Wildfire. Using its Psychic powers, Gardevoir manages to redirect the flames back at Charizard, but Leon counters by using Max Airstream to push the attack away.

Following the match, Diantha and Leon share a respectful handshake. Ash and Cynthia return to the stadium just in time to see the result, realizing the immense power of the opponent waiting in the finals.
