Two 7x9 inch pieces of outer fabric, two 7x9 inch pieces of lining fabric. Topstitch close to the zipper on both sides

Fold the fabrics back to reveal the zipper and press with an iron for a crisp edge. then sew around the entire perimeter

Repeat steps 2 and 3 for the other side of the zipper with the remaining two pieces of fabric.

Open the zipper halfway (crucial step), pin outer fabrics together and lining fabrics together, then sew around the entire perimeter, leaving a 2-inch gap in the lining for turning.
