ACEP ID:
The episode concludes by expanding the series' scope. We are introduced to a group of special-grade cursed spirits—including and Hanami —meeting with a mysterious human sorcerer in a cafe. Their ultimate goal is revealed: to replace humanity with cursed spirits by neutralizing Gojo and bringing Sukuna to their side.
The "King of Curses" takes this opportunity to hold Yuji’s life hostage. In a chilling display of cruelty, Sukuna rips out Yuji's heart, ensuring that if Yuji does regain control, he will immediately die. To solidify his dominance, Sukuna consumes another of his fingers before turning his sights on Megumi Fushiguro.
While Sukuna easily overpowers him—even destroying Orochi with ease—he becomes increasingly intrigued by Megumi’s unique technique and untapped potential. This fight serves as a pivotal moment for Megumi, who reflects on his personal philosophy: he isn't a hero, but a sorcerer who saves people "unequally" based on his own convictions. In the end, Yuji manages to switch back just long enough to share a final smile and a request for his friends to "live a long life" before succumbing to his wounds.
Nobara and Megumi are introduced to their eccentric seniors: Maki Zenin , Toge Inumaki , and Panda . Despite their grief, the first-years agree to join the upcoming Kyoto Sister-School Goodwill Event to become strong enough to honor Yuji's memory. The Shadow War Begins
The second half of the episode shifts tone, dealing with the fallout of Yuji's apparent death.
The "Juju Stroll" after the credits, where the students debate whether Panda smells like an animal or, as Megumi claims, "like the sun" thanks to his daily use of Febreze.
The final chilling shot reveals that while Yuji's body may be dead, his soul is still trapped within Sukuna’s domain, setting the stage for an inevitable, dangerous pact.
