This was the first game in the series to optionally use the Wii Balance Board , famously allowing players to control certain minigames—like surfing or sledding—using their "butt" while sitting on the board.

It supports up to 8 players in alternating modes or 4 players simultaneously, making it a staple "party game" for the Wii. This was the first game in the series

In addition to standard minigames, the game features very short "commercial" microgames that last only a few seconds, similar to the WarioWare style. Story & Setting Cult Movies (parodies of famous films)

The plot begins with Rayman being chased by Rabbids until they are struck by lightning and sucked into his television set.

The game is structured around a "TV station" theme where players navigate through different channels to access over 50 minigames.
