"Agape" is a pivotal track in Vintage Culture's discography, marking his successful evolution into the melodic house and techno sphere. It’s a track that feels equally at home in a dark, sweaty warehouse at 3:00 AM as it does during a sunset set at a massive outdoor festival. For fans of melodic progression and high-gloss production, this single is an essential addition to any electronic music library.

With "Agape," Vintage Culture (Lukas Ruiz) steps away from the high-octane basslines often associated with his Brazilian Bass roots to embrace a more sophisticated, cinematic melodic techno sound. The track is built on a foundation of shimmering, ethereal synths and a driving, rhythmic percussion section that feels tailor-made for the massive main stages of festivals like Tomorrowland. The title "Agape"—representing the highest form of unconditional love—is reflected in the track’s soaring pads and emotional progression, creating a sense of euphoria that is both grounded and expansive. The digital retail version (often found in "WEB" or "INT" distribution formats) typically includes the high-fidelity Original Mix. As part of the TML064 catalog, it serves as a testament to Vintage Culture's versatility as an artist. While the "rar" or "zip" file formats are common for digital distribution or archival purposes, the true value lies in the lossless quality (FLAC/WAV) that captures the nuance of the atmospheric reverb and the crispness of the hi-hats. Released under the imprint in 2022, the production quality is immaculate. The low-end is punchy and tight, ensuring it translates well on club systems, while the mid-range is filled with intricate melodic flickers that keep the listener engaged throughout its duration. The arrangement follows a classic build-and-release structure, but it is the textured layering of the lead synth that truly stands out, giving the track a "wall of sound" feel during the climax. A brand new recipe and video for you as I continue my mini Summer-series about making the Ultimate S’mores!

Hi! I hope you had a wonderful Holiday last week (maybe some of you even stretched it all the way through the weekend!) If you follow me on Instagram, (especially insta-stories) you would have seen our family adventure through the heartland of America this last week!

Homemade Graham Crackers (Vegan and Gluten-Free) from HeatherChristo.com

We got to spend the Fourth of July in Pawhuska, Oklahoma where we had the full experience with our dear friend Betsy and her family. If you scroll down HERE, there is a beautiful picture of the girls in their Fourth of July duds.

Then we road tripped all the way to St Louis, Missouri so that we could spend a few days supporting Pia as she battled it out at Nationals for Fencing. It was pretty nuts, but sometimes I can’t believe how tough this girl is- like so much stronger than I ever was (and maybe still am.) She placed 18th in the nation for her age group (Y10) and qualified for Y12, which was a big deal in itself. Now I will quit geeking out on fencing and tell you that it was amazing to get home and that on Sunday night we hosted the whole family for dinner.

When I say whole family, I mean over 20 people with my and Pete’s immediate family. So, a lot of people.

And guess what we had for dessert????

Serves: 16

Ingredients
  • 1 cup all gluten-free all-purpose baking flour (I use bobs red mill brand)
  • 1 cup brown rice flour
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ cup vegan butter, chilled and cubed
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 2 tablespoons agave
  • 1 tablespoon mollases
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoons cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. In food processor, add flour blend, brown sugar, cinnamon, baking powder, baking soda, salt and butter. Pulse until blended and resembles cornmeal. Add water, agave, molasses and vanilla. Blend until dough comes together. Add an extra tablespoon of water, if needed.
  2. Place dough onto lined baking sheet. Place another piece of parchment paper on top of dough and roll out, until even thickness. Dough should reach to the edges of the pan. Using a pizza cutter, score the dough into desired squares/rectangles. Prick dough with fork in an even pattern. Sprinkle with the sugar and cinnamon blend.
  3. Bake crackers for 15-17 minutes, or until edges begin to brown. Remove from oven. While still warm and on the pan, carefully cut crackers along score-lines with sharp knife. Allow to cool on pan for 10 minutes. Cool crackers completely on cooling rack. Store in airtight container.
