In the original 2011 Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 , Captain Price and Task Force 141 track the Russian terrorist Vladimir Makarov across a world engulfed in World War III. The story begins immediately after Modern Warfare 2 , with Price and a wounded "Soap" MacTavish on the run. They eventually join forces with Delta Force and the SAS to stop Makarov's plan to destroy the Western world.
